EQUIPMENT FAQ’S & INFO:

+ PRICING OPTIONS (Tap for details)

  • The cheap stuff: While the price on the cheap stuff is tempting it is generally uncomfortable and wears out quickly. You will likely be replacing it within a year or so. However, this may be a good choice if you have a young player (1-4th grade) who will likely outgrow the equipment before it wears out.
  • "Middle of the road" price: This is our recommendation as it provides the best combination of quality, comfort, durability and overall value. Find something in the middle of the cheap stuff and the expensive stuff.
  • The expensive stuff: Only very high level players will see any added benefit from the expensive stuff. We really only recommend these items for high school players.
  • Pro tip: Visit a local sporting goods store to try on items to see your sizes and what you like, then shop for those items online for the best price. Lacrosse equipment is almost always cheaper online than in store.

+ WHERE TO BUY? NEW OR USED? (Tap for details)

IN STORE/ONLINE OPTIONS FOR NEW EQUIPMENT:

  • Pro tip: Visit a local sporting goods store to try on items to see your sizes and what you like, then shop for those items online for the best price. Lacrosse equipment is almost always cheaper online than in store.
  • Used options (cheapest, but you do not get any advice on sizes and options):
    • Play it Again sports in Pacific Beach and Scripps Mesa usually have a large inventory of lacrosse equipment. There are also several apps (craigslist, offer up, let go, etc) where people are selling used lacrosse gear in San Diego.
  • New Online Options (Purchasing online will get you the best price, but again no advice on sizing and options.)
    • Lax.Com: Our preferred online retailer, use code adam15 to get 15% off of most purchases.
    • Lacrosse Monkey: Great clearance section! Great prices on clearance cleats.

LOCAL STORE OPTIONS FOR NEW EQUIPMENT

  • Lacrosse Unlimited (Solana Beach): A great lacrosse store with great service. You may pay a little more, but you will get expert advice and can try everything on to see what you like.
  • Dicks, and other local sporting goods stores: these tend to be the most expensive options, and it's rare that any of the employees know anything about lacrosse. So you won't get very good advice.
